Fee Schedule

 

As an Intalage teacher, your salary is based on experience, educational qualifications, and the district or state salary schedule for that academic year. All Intalage teachers are paid on the same salary scale as their district colleagues. If the district and/or state budget changes, your salary will be adjusted to the revised schedule.

YOUR SALARY IS SUBJECT TO FEDERAL AND STATE INCOME TAXES AS WELL AS FEDERAL INSURANCE CONTRIBUTIONS ACT DEDUCTIONS. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOUR HOME COUNTRY MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE A TAX AGREEMENT WITH THE UNITED STATES. The information below details a summary of costs that Intalage educators may incur. These expenses may vary based on your home country as well as the city and state you will work in during your tenure here. All costs are noted in USD ($).

SPONSOR fee

Intalage does not charge a sponsor fee. To apply and participate in our program teacher applicants do not pay any fees. Intalage does not charge any fees for visa sponsorship service.

Third party fees

Intalage does not authorize any third party (individual or entity) in the U.S. or abroad to charge fees to teachers to apply to our program or participate in it. We do not collect such fees from third parties. Interested teachers may contact us directly to inquire about eligibility and teaching experience required to participate in the program. Additionally, please inform us immediately if any third party solicits fees on behalf of Intalage.

Interested applicants in India

Intalage has a contractual relationship with Neptune Consultancy Services in India. Neptune offers consultation and training services to prepare teachers in India. Fees for these services may range from approximately $1200 to $1500 USD. Please click here for details.

There are certain required fees that you should be aware of. None of these fees are paid to Intalage. We want to emphasize Intalage does not charge you a fee to participate in our program.

After Arrival

Intalage works with Georgia Professional Standards Commission, the agency that issues Teaching License/Certificate and our teachers are issued an International Exchange (XT) certificate for a three-year period. There is no fee incurred by the teacher. There are no assessments teacher has to take for obtaining the teaching certificate except GACE 360.

Salary and Living Expense in the United States  

Intalage teacher’s salary is based on the salary schedule of the school district the teacher is assigned to. All our teachers will be paid the same salary as a native American teacher with same educational qualifications and teaching experience.

It is important to learn the U.S government mandated payroll taxes and the cost of living in the USA. Below is an example, the annual salary ($45,263) used is for a teacher with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, assigned to a suburban school district. The monthly salary is for a 12-month pay cycle. Some districts may use semi-monthly pay; you may receive two paychecks in a month.

* Extension beyond the initial term is not guaranteed. The fee is a one time fee for a two year extension. No additional fee for dependents. The EV will incur cost to pass GACE assessments to renew the teaching license, prior to extension of visa.

** First year teachers are exempt from FICA tax for two calendar years. Also, Medicare tax is different from Medical Insurance you are required to enroll in.

*** TRS is pension fund, you will be eligible to withdraw your contribution after completion of participation.
